It's portfolio time! I need a new job and work is easing off this week so I've got some time to spend on 3d, and I've decided to create some brand spankin' new 'next-gen' models. The first is a character called the priest, since he's... a priest. Not even a magic warrior priest, just a regular Catholic type priest. I'm working on the high poly for normal maps first. I also want to spend more time on a more in-depth concept before going too far in 3d.

Comments and criticism are welcome & appreciated.

The nasolabial fold isnt located correctly, it should be as high as the nostril, also the nose seems kinda long in proportion to the rest. Nostrils could use some tweak.

Is the mesh built in a 3d app and sculpted in zbrush? if so post wires of the base mesh too.

Patrick, thanks for the input. The fold has been corrected and I'm including a wire image. Bear in mind that it's fairly rough as I easily fix poor edge loops once I start sculpting. This is not the low-poly model itself, which will be more carefully constructed and less dense.

I like that latest screenshot a lot. Not sure if this is a usefull critique but the eyebrows on your conceptsketch look way more angled then the ones he has right now. Also the priests robe looks a bit too uniform at the moment. Maybe add some buttons on it, or some folds? Are you going to texture this as well?

the nose looks much better after the improvement, though I'm curious to see how the eye brows and hair turn out, they look pretty solid as it is. are you going for the sculpted from stone look?
