View Full Version : Skinning problem in MAX8

Hi
I have a problem with skin modifier in MAX8. I adjusted vertex weight for one (left/green) side of my character and used mirror parameters to define vertexes for other (right/blue) side.
As you can see in image, after mirroring, right vertexes are linked to left foot bone that is not right.

Please help me to understand what I do wrong.

maybe your character is not perfectly symetrical..... try to increase the treshold until all mirrorable (?) bones turn to green

my bad, i was wrong...
until all mirrorable bones turn green (right side) or blue (left side)....and all vertices turn green or blue (except the middle ones)

You need to reset Xform on your model. Use the Reset Xform tool in the tools panel for this. Then colapse the stack and then skin the character.
