Hello,

I'm working om a very simple scene with 2 cubes and 1 plane. 1 cube is the table, the second cube is an object on the table and the plane is a piece of cloth. The cloth as to fall down over the object and on the table. It's no problem to let the cloth fall naturally over on object, but to is a different story. The cloth has to rest on the table after it falls down over the object and on the table. But when I try this the cloth goes to a certain extend thrue the object. I have to set the collision parameters to high to avoid the going thrue 'thing'. But then the cloth hits the table at a distance. It hovers over the table
I tried a lower EPS setting in the solver and I use the Runge-Kutta algorytm.

I hope I make sense, if not I send you the scene. Scene is made in 7.303 and in 8.

I hope you can help. Maxon couldn't.

Greetings

Maybe it is an idea to start a database of settings for al kinds of materials in Dynamics??:lightbulb

Hi,
i would use invisible proxy objects for the cube and the plane. This way you can prevent the gap and the intersection.

I thought of this, but I hoped there would be a 'cleaner' way. I will try it and post the result soon. Thanks

This is the result when I use a proxy object. The disadvantage is that there is no real collision between the objects you see.

Looks pretty good - and it is the look that's important, afterall - not the reality.

This is what I am trying to do, but I can't even get that far. Could you possibly post your file so I could see your settings? I can't figure out what I am missing.

Thank you,
Cris
