View Full Version : MR's Car Paint shader conflicts with Ambient light. help
Defonten 11-20-2006, 02:23 PM I experience black holes and small nonrendered black rectangles randomly scattered all around my sub-d surface with Car paint shader assigned to it. I probably can't avoid using Ambient light otherwise too many objects become too dark on non lit areas. Please help me solve this problem. Thanks in advance.

Please try to avoid the ambient light. You get a similar result if you raise the brightness of your rendered image in Photoshop. The result is a flat image.
Why don't you lower the photon's exponent of your light sources or raise global illuminaion color's value above 1 in the render globals?

Okay. thanks for the tip man. May be you're right, it\d be better to tune everything up in later on a compose stage. Using ambient simply gived me a quick feedback of what would I get in the final image.
