I'm not sold on the face being Jimi though,it almost looks more like Morgan Freeman than Hendrix.

He used to take a right-handed stratocaster, re-string it lefty and play it upside down because I don't think they really made lefty guitars back then... (even though he wrote with his right hand)

Hendrix was a quite awful player technically, but even he would not hold fingers like that on the fretboard. His fingers was too large and "boney" for that.

Face does not look like him...sorry.

His amps or/and microphone should be shown even a slightly to get sense of a space on the stage.

Nice colours expression and pose.

I like the whole athosphere in the composition although it's so simple, as well the lighting and the colors. The hands bugs me > the one that is on the fingerboard looks strange to me....but overall the feeling is nice.

hey, i am very new to this site, and i recently started to study Computer Animation. one very important thing that they are teaching us is how to Proporly critique work. so please do not take this the wrong way at all. i know you are one hundred times more experienced and talented than i am. i love the 3D work. the hair and fur are amazing, but from an artistic stand point perhaps the angle you chose or even the lighting make the top lip look a little flat and the metalic details on the jacket don't pop out very well either. i thought after soooo many praises you deserved a honest critique. witch is what i want more than anything when i start posting up some work. other than those things i can not nit pick it any more. its an awsome piece, and subject

capturing the likeness (the face) of your subject is the most important part of caricature, and your work portrays nothing to suggest it's jimi hendrix.

the pose is pretty stiff and awkward though.. the angle is pretty dull.. i think the piece could have a lot more impact if the same issues youd think of in simply photographing a real person were adressed, or if you are going for cartoony then sketch out a cartoon the way it should look without even worrying about the 3d first.

although people on these forums mostly only care about technique, which you nailed as far as modelling and texturing, this image could be so much stronger with the same art assets you've already made, just with a bit different angle.

i think the head should look bigger than this.

jimi has a darker skin.

his right hand is very strong, grabing the fret board..

Hi, the job is very good, but the guitar is not correct. This is a Fender Stratocaster Standard. Hendrix play a Stratocaster Pre CBS and is different. The head of neck is many different.

The most famous color is white blond or black and not natural that there is in the photo.
