Hey guys!

I have been working on this lowpoly model that I have textured with specmaps and bumps and the usual (no normal maps though). Now I wonder, if I want this in my portfolio, how am I to show it? I suppose I can't render it in Vray or so, since I want to show how it looks in realtime. The viewport in Max (I made and textured the model in 3dsMax) doesn't seem to want to show bumps and speculars... Can I make some changes there and then do a print screen or how do you go about it?

Thanks in advance!
/Joel

Depending on which version of max you're using, you can use DirectX to show off your model. You can either use the Standard material and check the checkbox at the bottom of the rollout that shows your standard material as a directx shader (it's called "DX Display of Standard Material" in the DirectX Manager rollout) or you can use the DirectX 9 material instead of a Standard material and load up the StandardFX.fx file. It supports all kinds of textures (normal maps, spec maps etc) :)
