Hi ... i new to Max 5 and 3D modeling and i got a small problem i hope u guys can help me solve.

i got two objects - a capsule (an extended primitives) and a sphere (standard primitives). The sphere is moved into the capsule so that they share some space .... how do i remove/delete the sphere and the part of the capsule thats shared with the sphere ?

Hope u understand my question ... its real hard to explain :)

So if I understand correctly you want to end up with a capsule that has a chunk cut out of it that resembles part of the sphere, correct?

If so, you need to do a Boolean operation subtracting the sphere from the capsule. It's all explained in the manual and on-line help files. Look up Boolean.

Good luck.
