a new character a friend an i are working on. it was done in pencil and photoshop,
sort of a new technique for me...

c & c welcome.

Navel_Lint, I like this art a lot, and the technique you are using has a great feel to it. Nice texture on the suit. I also like the fact that the character looks a bit older...it gives it some mood.


I think a hint of red in the lips might give some life to her face, and it might be interesting to put a bit of detail or some gear on her back...that area seems a bit flat.

Well, this pic is pretty good. Cool texturing and lighting really make this stand out. Very cool style throughout.

However, my only crit is the background. I dunno, the bright blue behind a really gritty and malaise character. I'd prefer a greyish bg or something, but thats just my opinion, i could be wrong.

Interesting technique... sort of gives me that 60's feeling to it. That's not a bad thing, just the impression I get. The technique is hard to tell... watercolor then scanned into the computer? Interesting... let us know if you get the chance how you did it.

and i like it much more. thanks for the
suggestion.

blackarts, you were totally right about her face and the need for color depth.

the image was drawn/sketched on paper,
then scanned into PS and painted almost entirely with the "drippy water" brush.
