hey!
i'm new to C4D R8 so i'm little lost with
a few things....

--->is there a smoothing operation in C4D? i don't mean SUBDs, i mean a smoothing operation like one has in LW?

--->is there an online plugin repository
like there is for LW @ flay.com?

thanks!

1) what do you mean for smoothing? try this anyway, it's really useful, i hope it's what you're searching: http://homepage2.nifty.com/aquawave/e/cafeteria/iron.html

2) http://www.plugincafe.com/

i hope it helps :wavey:

I believe you might mean the Phong Tag. It's usually automatically added to new objects and you can control it's smoothing angle when clicked on if it's not alreayd on your object you can simply add it by going to the object managers file n=menu and going File->New Tag->Phong Tag
