Does anybody know if there is a modell of the MiniCooper S available for download in c4d or 3ds format (or any other format that can be imported in Cinema)?
I found a really good one but it costs 160US$ to download. I'd prefer a free one with lower quality instead ;) And yes, I've checked the standard sites like 3dcafe.... :D

Here's one in .lwo format for $39:

I have this one still in progress that I'd sell you, as-is, for $45.

The only thing in the interior is the front seats and a half-done dashboard. But it's in .c4d format and the exterior is highly detailed.

I plan on selling it on Turbosquid for $100-150 when it's finally complete.

Yik! is there any Reason why the refracion on your Front Windscreen is so high? looks like they installed a Magnifying glass. Other wise I whink that Model is just Awsome!!!!! :buttrock:

Thanks. Still messing around with materials, and you're right, the refraction is way over the top.

Maybe the refraction value is right but the glass is onesided, or rather: the glass lack thickness and therefore the entire interior is treated as if made of glass.

Absolutely correct. Most of the car is planar right now. I'm going to give it thickness at the end.

Thanks. It took countless hours. :) Seriously, I really have no idea because I've been working on it off and on for quite a while. If I had to guess the total time I'd say about 60-80 hours. This was my first car model--lots of trashing and starting over--so I think I could do the next one in about half the time.

I used front/back/profile/top blueprints.

Your mesh looks wonderfull and I'd love to get my hands on it. But I really don't have the money at the moment. So I guess I need to build one myself ;)

P.S. would you mind pointing me to those blueprints or maybe send them to my e-mail?

No problem--you can get the zipped blueprints HERE (http://bellsouthpwp.net/A/d/AdamTrachtenberg/blueprints.zip).
