View Full Version : learning writing plugins

I'm interested in learning to write my own scripts and plugins. What is a good start? Any suggestions. Do I have to learn a programming language, if yes which one (python, c++?) or can anything be done using Lscript.
Any good link for this topic?
Alot can be done with Lscript, but not nearly as much as with C. Check out the SDK that came with Lightwave for more info, if you're looking to write some plugins. For Lscripts, http://www.lightwave-outpost.com/~bhood/lscript.html is a pretty good start.
Lscript is somewhat buggy and has some rather odd ways of getting things done, but it's a good thing overall. The new version of Lscript, as well as up-to-date docs will be coming out with Lightwave 7.3, I think. Bob Hood has stated it would be released around the same time.
