View Full Version : Head of a friend's alien

A schoolfriend modelled an alien head. And he'd like to have your advices and so on but does not have internet at home. So i m putting his pic here for him :)
It's a quick scanline rendering. Only the face is textured !
All your advices or ideas are welcome.

I like it, it has rough natural look to the character that is very convincing. I think the texture map used on the face looks a little low res and flat too needs some bump mapping in there and the texture doesn't steam to be too well defined on the top of the head and the neck it feels like it should be more wrinkly like the face. Nice design though.

about the low-res texture map -- it okay, but he needs to add a good bump map, A-S-A-P.
The light reflections on that red hood is nice as well...
I like those 2 skin somethings hanging from his cheeks, it would be very nice if he will animate it using dynamics.
all in all - good job! keep on texturing! :applause:

frank dodd, i will tell him for the bump and texture, he will work that again
soundwav_, thx for the comment :) he is finishing the modeling of the body and he will animate all that character ;-) so i hope to see that two cheeky skins :) and i will tell him again about the texturing ;)
