Hello, I figured I'd start a new thread for this painting only because I know that I enjoy looking through threads that are for one piece.
So anyways, it is of my all time favorite starcraft character the protoss high templar ARTANIS!
So here are some refs I used for my sketch.
And in the background will be the planet shakuras which looks like this:http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b147/jackie6651/planetref.jpg
So I came up with this composition, anyone have any better Ideas for comp, camera angle, anything? I look forward to your critique.
The game may be old, but it is awesome, so much fun and a great story, its a classic.
Thats all.

haha Artanis!! good memories come to my mind... =P
The first thing you should see here before going further is his position... he's kinda leaning forward... So I'd suggest either moving the feet a little forward or the torso a little back (the first one seems better). And about the legs, remember that protoss legs have 2 joints (like quadrupeds'), not just one (like humans') turned over. You know what I mean? take a look at this http://homepage.mac.com/cheethorne/Starcraft/images/protoss.jpg In your reference it doesn't show very well cause it's a frontal shot.

Man, Im on the ball today...
Thanks for the reply. I read it and fixed the legs, thanks for the link! I couldn't find any ref pictures and the ones I did find are hard to work with.
Anyways, enough bla bla, I just spent about 45 min fixing up my lineart. Sometimes I like to have a concrete base before I start working.
Looking again, i think i may have to make the toes more 'flat' on the ground, it kinda looks like he is standing on his tippi toes. And is shoulder armor seems to be floating. Oh, and his right lower arm needs better shape.... All for another day though.
