Title: Digital Backlots
Name: Manuel Rodriguez
Country: Spain
Software: Lightscape

This two scenes were set up into Lightwave´s modeller, and them went to Lightscape´s light simulation system, where the textures were applied too. Due to the poor surfacing tools of the software, it took a little post work finally in Photoshop with color correction, flares, ecc.

Nice work Manuel. The only thing can be that the images are too clean, with the raytrace. Maybe the first image has too many flares, they can distract you from the understanding of the environment. The second image is too simetrical, but maybe that was what you were looking for.

I like the images, nice work.

Hello, Mikeldi

I´m little sad it all look so clean, as I spent time looking for right textures and painting them, maybe that look is due to the modelling, so simple and plain, without irregular zones and complex wireframe under, not to mention the limited capabilities of Lightscape for bump or sepc mapping (but it has quite an incredibly accurate render...) .

By the way, the flares were added in post, as Lightscape can´t do that also. I try to "dirt" images as far as I can in Photoshop, with adjust layers, grain, color correction...If you know about other methods, please let me know....and thanx for your comments

Hello, Abyssis

Thanks for your kind comments, in fact, Lightscape is (still) a unique simulation-package that took a lot of time to understood and learn, so I´m still trying to think about concentrate in other tools with more projection. Anyway, I made that time some funny images with it...Do you have any to show us?

Regards
