View Full Version : Place to buy C4D compatible models
3DBond 11-14-2006, 02:52 PM Hello all,
Just wondering what some of the best online resources for purchasing models are that are either in .c4d format or are as compatible as possible.
I know of turbosquid, but they don't have a great deal in .c4d and what works will usually only open up in the most subdivided way.
Normally I like to challenge myself with the modeling, but in this case the timelines are just too tight.
Thanks for any replies.

Depends on what you are looking for. Also don't forget that Lightwave models are very compatible with C4D. Here are tw o nice places for cars and such.

I've always found turbosquids c4d models to be ok. But I know what you mean about them sometimes being subdivided in a weird way sometimes.
Kind of get the feeling they resave in various formats rather than model them specifically.

Primitiv, thank you very much. Really appreciate it.
tonyg3d, .c4d models are usually ok, but I figure other models created in Max (or whatever) and saved to be usable in Cinema will always be completely subdivided by their equivalent to HyperNURBS as that obviously would present problems.
