View Full Version : How to get an R9-ish F-Curve Display?
GruvDOne 11-13-2006, 05:14 PM OK, the "Help" system is proving to be a bit of a dud on this one (there really needs to be a section on "What's new in R10" if there is, I would love to know where).
As you know, they eliminated the F-Curve Window (much to my chagrin) in R10, in favor of integrating it into the timeline. In the Manual, I see screen shots of an enlarged F-Curve view of the sort I am accustomed to working with.
Can someone tell me what I must to to get into said view?
Thanks,
Will

It's the icon on the far right hand side of the timeline window Will, looks like a key. Click this and the timeline swaps to the full f-curve view.

Spacebar!!! Brilliant. That makes life so much easier. I've been zipping back and forth to that little button all day

Perfect thanks!

Well, I did check the menus, but not knowing what it was called, that didn't help much ;). And I have Spacebar as my Play/Pause, so it is like every other app in existence. I will map a shortcut for it though.
You can add a second timeline to your layout that is set to f-curves.

Great Idea.
I almost forgot about the multiple Timeline and OM thing. ;)

Yeah ok... maybe obvious to those of you who have been living with this puppy for a little while. But this is my first full day with the program, and in looking for quick answers in the documentation, I found none. Therefore, I came to the forum and asked. That is the, last time I checked, the whole idea behind places like this.

Don't worry, it wasn't aimed at you, it was aimed at the person who assigned the icons to the different TL modes. ;)

;) gotcha... well in retrospect it makes sense.. and if I were in "playing around getting familiar with the changes" mode, I probably would have pushed every button to see what it does, but since I was trying to crank out project 1 so I can finish project 2, and then finally start on project 3 which is already a week behind.. well you know. :p
