you want a picture of the iris? there is a bill flemming tutorial around that has the geometry for a "correct" eye.

For my eye in my "Head Self-Portrait WIP" thread, I simply looked in a mirror and painted it in Photoshop. I took a bit of artistic interpretation, but overall it was fairly easy to do. I'd be glad to give you my eye texture if you'd like it for reference or to use/modify. Just drop me an e-mail. Click Here (robpauza@chartertn.net)

I've seen a really nice eye modeling tutorial for Maya, but I don't remember where. Sorry.

The bill fleming tutorial can be found here : -

http://www.computerarts.co.uk/tutorials/type/tutorial.asp?id=23082

although if you read further down, all Bill has done is the putting together of the article, the actual research was done by Steve Tubbrit, and if you go to his site, there's an even better tutorial, much more indepth, for maya, but the principles apply to any package :-

It's a good idea, however, to completely remove the specular from the outer surface of the eye. Specular highlights are actually a hack, and for the eye you need reflections anyway - so use self-illuminated reflection objects instead.
