Title: Mortal Terror
Name: Neil Blevins
Country: USA
Software: 3ds max, Brazil r/s, Photoshop
While I can't pinpoint the initial inspiration (this composition just sorta came to me one night while I was drifting off to sleep), the final figure kind of looks like a tribal doll of some sort. Maybe a mechanical voodoo doll who has trapped a mortal soul in an electronic hell. The figure screams in agony at its imprisonment. Modeled in Max, rendered in Brazil, the hair was generated with Wirebundler, and the mist and sky painted in photoshop.

I like your work.
It looks like the head for a Viking ship just moved forward a couple of thousand years in time. Maybe that’s where you got your inspiration.

Very nice.
Looks very intresting and mysterious. I dunno if that bit at the front is a face or not, but i seem to think of it as a figure bending over, with its face obscured by that hair like stuff.
I liiiike!

Great stuff. I love how it has a concept art feel, and it's hard to tell if it's 2D or 3D, when it's a nice mix of both. Very cool! :)

Nicely done image. Very "Matrix"-like. You just got me to search for and try out Wirebundler, haha. Looks promising... Peace!

Grats on the front page Neil. I really like the grime and layered feel you're gettting in your work these days (especially the forest scene on your site).

Fantastic work Neil I am in awe:bowdown:
I love how you managed to blend feelings linked to the realms of technology and tribal/"primitive" beliefs. Great mood. And top notch technical quality as well, but that goes without saying!
Sincerely
Jerome.

Great stuff as always, definately worthy of the front page plug. Kinda reminds me of Warhammer 40,000 necrons by Games Workshop (http://uk.games-workshop.com/necrons/artwork/).

Very nice !
Great mood you achieved on the "final touch".
That kind of 'almost sleeping inspiration' is the one of the best. The problem is that we almost always let it go before we can make with it some kind of art, so congratulations on being able to catch it ! ;)
Keep it up ! keep rocking !
