I took an old sketch/idea and decided to develop it... because I realize it's been in my head for more than a year now and something about this piece i don't feel like confronting...so time to put on some armor and fight back I guess.

Hope I get some feedback (which I really appreciate!!!) on the wayI ^_^ Right now I'm just laying shapes and most of the patterns and shapes. The file is 4800 x 6000 but will surely end in 7200 cuz I need a few more cms down there for the "spiral" work.

This is like the organized sketch after many doodlings in napkins, papers that i was not supposed to be doodling on and the actual sketchbook I carry around with me all the time.
And yes, the redhead is back!

Basically got hippy-happy&tweaky on the clouds and basic shape and pattern design...very "rough" at this stage.

Shaping up the clock with symbolic paraphernalia and all that schtuff... I have to add a Bell of sorts on top but have erased many designs of it.

to be continued...

Great start! Your work is both delicate but very strong. I love the detail. Good work - keep at it.

I like where this is headed - so - 5 stars

Hey thank you a lot! hahaa the WIPs have gotten a bit abandoned...before there was much activity in this forum. :(

this is sort of where I want to be headed (people have asked about the perspective and it will look incorrect until i actually add the twist on the lower part):

So I don't care if my muse left me again, inspired or not I have to finish this.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/ozha/BFHWIP.jpg

I lost the "feel" for 2 months and now I keep changing things.
I have a love hate relationship with design...

I asked a good friend of mine, Sacha Diener (yeap I bet you know him!) to make me a 3d model (since I don't have any 3d programs...neither the patience right now to learn how to use them) to see if i was on the right track:

Taking a look at that I wasn't that far off, which just took a load of insecurities off...(for which I am ever so grateful! Thanks Sacha!)

Ok, I'm almost done re-painting. I corrected the perspective on the structure's upper fold. Now off to do some boring ground/earth painting... (this is where and when I really wish I had some sponges, rags and bags and was working with oils)

Awesome (and a little twisted) concept Oz. :] I'm glad you are going back to it now. There's not much to add right now since most have already been mentioned. As always lovely, surreal colors and tons of great details. Cannot wait for the next step.

Gord-MacDonald, calisto, MVDB, Squibbit, warpy, mosconariz, xric7, TheFirstAngel, Ivy00, OKMER & Lilie: HAPPY V.D.!!! <3

I'm very tempted to implement certain characteristics of this lady into the personage of this painting. What do you guys think?

Lilie

I think she'd definatly fit in Oz. :] Particularly with the design of the door/mirror/structure i think the style of the lady would add a nice touch to the picture. I say, give it a try. It's digital art anyway, if it doesn't work nothing stops you from going back to the original design you intended.

Happy V-Day to you too. :]
