View Full Version : CgTalk Daily Sketch 889 NO TIME LIMIT Sketch "Self Portrait: Star Wars Villain!"

"Star Wars Villain"

These are the rules:

You have NO TIME LIMIT for your sketch. IF you go beyond the assigned time limit , you have to post WHATEVER you have done after the time has expired, along with the FINAL drawing.
Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
They can be done on any medium.
If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
You can post an entry at anytime for the topic presented on this thead BEFORE the voting thread for THE WEEK has been posted.
The artist also has to post total length of time it took and program used.
Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
The topics will be picked at random from the list on the TOPICS thread >>LINK<< (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php/?t=145003)
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them).

Just yesterday i happened to decide to draw a self portrait then i saw this daily sketch idea so i just expanded on that so that it looks star wars villain-ish

I started on this and then left to do laundry and eat supper and watch a movie before I came back to it. It took an hour or two I'm sure so I was happy when I checked and made sure there was no time limit. Yay. My favorite Star Wars villain. I guess since it's me it's Jojo Fett:

12 Destracted Hrs... I'm not that quick yet but I do belive in quality over quantity so I put alot into it... And learned alot while making it. Its more of an inner reflection self portrait wise, course he's streaming with the dark side, software used was Alias Sketchbook and Photoshop CS2.

I love the light displacing at the base of the saber - he looks like hes about to 'casually' hand out an ass whooping

indeed, the sexpression on his face makes it a SOTW candidate 4 sure.

some c,c 4 you embryotic, the hood looked a bit stiff to me, butt maybe thas what they do look like...

These are all cool. I was always only into the old Star Wars series when I was little, so I really do not know what to paint for this topic, I would have to think about it, but I really can't see myself as a villian. Only an ewok. :bounce:
