View Full Version : Face shading In Progress
Mwai Kasamale 02-09-2003, 11:03 AM A head I've been working on, I'm going to be adding SSS effects to it once done but needto refine the bump. I'm having trouble with the bump on the cheeks, any suggestions.

There is something about the eyes confusing me, somehow they seem bumped? Try to make some kind of wet looking stuff, a bumpmap seems to be fine for skin and such, but not everywhere.
Nice model though, keep on doing ;)

This is a really great piece of work, it sort of reminds me of Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) the only thing throwing me off is the skin map.
It just gives the character that "inhuman" look because the skin looks so perfect. There should be varying skin tones across the face, to give it that semi-blemished look. Then it will be perfect.

Thanx for the comment, Your right about the eyes I've got to fix them, I forgot to post the face with skin map added, these ones haven't got a skin map persay, but an alpha map defining 2 colours. thanx though, I thought I was way off but maybe not.
the skin looks nice, maybe more like wetter?
