Title: Siren
Name: Ania Celarek
Country: Poland
Software: 3ds max, Photo-Paint, Photoshop, VRay, Wings3D
The siren settled near Warsaw, where she charmed the fishermen with her beautiful singing.
An evil tradesman caught her and closed her into a wooden house in the woods, planning to show her to people on the market for money.
But the fishermen freed her, and so she promised them to protect their city.
So she does till now, guarding Warsaw with shield and sword.

not bad, keep it up :)
Her pose makes me really uncomfortable. I uderstand she's bound but it wold have been nice to see at least one of her hands more up front... Also I'm really distracted by that water - why are there ripples when it's not raining outside? :scream:
pozdrawiam!

Oh! it’s very nice ! Color and light are very soft and pictural…(the siren is also very pretty like the Botticelli’s venus…)

Great work. Colors and enviroment are really nice. I like the model very much too. But her pose is a little bit strange, as said before. Not so natural as should be. Anyway, is a great piece, and deserves 4 stars. Congrats!

Well execution of a beautiful tale! There's some things I have trouble dealing with though, as stated before, it's indeed strange to see the ripples, which are a little extreme in my opinion. You could have gone for a darker mood, more blue light and more contrast, which would have accentuated the feel of captivity more and then it would have made a nice setting for some rain as well...
Although I really like the colours, I feel there's some contrast missing in the overall image, perhaps too much fill or ambient light and not enough directional light, you might even want to put a tiny glow on the highlights.
Texturing looks splendid, not much to point out. Modeling is fine as well, and I agree that you could have put a little more work in the position of the Siren, put her head a bit more done, relax the shoulders a bit more, unless her elbows are tied together, she'll still be able to shift her shoulders a bit more to the front, you can best understand this when putting your hands on your back and relaxing your shoulders. It seems like her left breast is a little rigid as well, in this position, it would shift a bit more towards her right side, being downwards.
Shading is pretty nice, not much challenging here, except for the water maybe, now it looks a bit too much like quicksilver, you might want to put a facing ratio in the transparency and reflectivity, I'm sure you know what I mean by that.
Still, nice work!

Great work, as stated elsewhere already. I agree about the ripples, they are a bit odd, Superb lighting, great texturing - resulting in a great and very unique style.
I like it.

Other than what's been stated about the mermaid's pose and the water, I think you have an excellent piece.
There is one more thing that hasn't been mentioned, but I find the top-right corner distracting. Looks like you used a blurred image as a backdrop. I think it would look better if you just duplicated a few more leaves and branches to fill that area. Might have worked better.
Still, 4 stars from me. :)

Hey wow!
Nice to find this work here.
Lovely lighting and mood!
So many details everywhere.
Nur schade, dass Du das mit dem Wasser nicht mehr geändert hast!
Egal, ist trotzdem toll! ;)
A piece for my favourite gallery!
Strange, but i'm not that confused with the pose.

Lighting and texturing is lovely, but I can't help but feel she might be a bit nippy in Warsaw wearing that!
I edited the water now.
lol Kaltagesta Warsaw is not Antarktis, there are quite warm temperatures in summer.

Perfect.
Summer in Warszawa? No, no, no, there is no summer in eastern europe, never, and everyone has a big beard, even women, little children and dogs. :scream:
