Yepp i know the feeing regarding the no reply thing. But i made the time and checked the tank out. It would be nice to see it from another angle aswell. Looking good from this point of view. Realy like the toonish touch to it. And the details in the tracks. I do would like to see more details in the front, like a hatch or peepholo or something. I hope you know what i mean.
Best regards

oh wow, my call was answered. thanks Nicobertlin, and i know what you mean. im just starting to do the main body of the tank. its extremely basic right now. if i get keen enough i may add a hatch to it as you say.

Í love it. Very nice. Just add toonish textures, nothing else.
I think it looks excellent!
Can't really crit so far, because you gave the tank character :)
I have to compliment you on that one!
So, keep going, and don't let the few replies fool ya.
Show some progress.
Cheers

I like it a lot. My only critique would be a request to simplify the tank treads. There's such a wonderful simplicity to the body of the tank that the treads look overly complex by comparison.
Just my thoughts. I like the overall feel of it.

Nice job. I can imagine Marvin the Martian sitting inside of it aiming the turret at planet Earth ;)

Good start. Kind of looks like something out of Dominion: Tank Police. Are you going to give it a new, polished look or a gritty, battle-tested texture?

thanks. a dirty look for sure will suit it i think. although my texturing skills are all but none so i'll have to see how i go.

just rendered it out with a simple camo type texture. i knew that "planet" material in max would come in handy.

I think it looks great, luv the style. The round metal plates and the barrell look amazing.
I hope you don't mind a few crits and this is just me being picky:
- I think, even a cartoon tank, should have a hatch somewhere
- I don't think the texture works, it looks to smooth, almost likes it's a reflection.
(I had more but then I noticed your updated pic which had fixed up anything else that I was going to say should have been fixed up.)

Hahaha.. cool tank! Maybe when we're both done our Tanks can do battle.. Here's a WIP of mine that I started in Blender about 1 year ago and just recently converted to Lightwave 7.5...

blender was the first 3d app id ever used. it was damn good for freeware. that is if you know what the sqaure buttons with no labels actualy did.
