can someone tell me how to show vertices?
i must have hit some key or soemthing that hides them. i remember i did this a long time ago, just cant remember how i fixed it

show vertices? if you have an epoly or emesh or something like that you just press 1 - which switches to vertex subobject mode
i knwo that :) im already in vertex mode in the screenshot
btw im working with splines

are you positive that is in vertex mode. cause by the looks of it its not in any sub object mode. can you select the vertices you know are there. cause it looks like the transform gizmo is on a vertex, or that is just the centre of the object.

if it's in vertex mode they would show up.

well yes, but if its a display driver glitch then it might be in sub object. but id say press "1" again. and make sure you dont have selection lock on.

actually i've had that happen before. i might be mistaken but it's not a toggle or anything. ive looked through every last max key. i think it's just a matter of being in the right sub object mode. when it did happen to me was when i didn't know what i was doing. hmm make sure any vertices aren't hidden.. other than that i forget what caused it the first time it happened to me.
if it's really a big deal just reset max to it's default state.

check out that the "show End result" button is unpressed, this will mask out vertices if it's on.
Other than that ...

hehe i feel so dumb, it was show end result, i changed my color scheme to discreet dark last night. its hard to see what buttons are pressed in that!
