hey downup,
damn I'm also doing a dragon (from imagination too, you just can't get them to pose for a decent picture you know..) the only prob is yours looks better than mine right now - started mine last night will post him soon.
yours is really cool, nice head especially - the legs are too small, the poor guy's not going to fly very well nose heavy like that (the legs are well modelled though) & I like the wings..
keep going-- will post mine soon.

Hey, flyguy, if you started it last night, or sometime recently, you might want to think about heading over to eeye.us and entering your dragon in their Febuary contest....

That's what downup is doing, he's just got this thread here to show all of us others up:buttrock:

hi Unlevel,
competition!!!??? aaarrgh!! no way, the model I'm trying to make is my 1st ever attempt at something that isn't stuck together with boxes, cylinders & chewing gum! I only ever used max for basic text/logo anim & stuff in a niteclub I used to work for - when they closed I bought it from them & am now keen to go further - thanx for the suggestion, but I'll post him here for C&C - I'm even terrified of that, judging by some of the work on this site- just **awesome**
u can maybe give your opinion when he shows up?

Looks good, but not great. I think it's just annatomy issues. The body and legs need to be slightly bigger and he needs some front legs. He's doesn't look like he'd have very good balance.

Keep it up..

wow downup, he STILL looks better than mine (I have a head so far) - yours is looking grrreat  better with every post - this is a matter of personal taste, but I don't think he needs that figure sitting on his back, it looks out of place... and his (mr happy dragon's) legs still need scaling up a tad -- otherwise, COOL! - will let you know when mine's up we can compare?

BTW, mine's taking a while cos I'm learning as I go:hmm:

Just out of Interest what happened to the Sub Div Dragon?

looks pretty good, but I'm just not really digging the textures. Right now, they're very busy in my opinion and don't help to shape the character, which is extremely important in low poly design.

box modeling rocks, looks like you are getting good organic results with it

Wildfire ...Sub Div Dragon??

Yes i know the texture look strange.. I must learn more in texture part..

The only thing i have done is that i found a lizard texture and put it on the dragon and used uwmap i think it is..

And soo it is

Well i made a smiley dragon too and more light
