View Full Version : Smooth Proxy

Here is a question for the experts. I am modelling a character and I hit on smooth proxy and then kept working on the original lower poly guy and was just viewing the proxy to see the changes made. I would like to get rid of the smooth proxied part now.

I can do this, just by selecting the proxy and deleting it. The problem is when I hit on smooth proxy, the original mesh became semi-transparent. When I delete the proxy model, the guy is still semi-transparent, and I don't know how to make him fully opaque now. Anybody with any information, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
try to re-assign the default lamber shader to it.

Sometimes you have to go in and manually break the connections before you delete something. In this case, just delete the history on the obj. Then delete it. Everything should be fine after that.

it turns out seb4d was right. I did figure it out myself but thanks to both of you for the reply. It made another lambert shader with a transparency and applied it.

This is one of the things I love about 3D. Learning new things in the program I'm using or just learning in general.

Thanks again guys.
