you can try and delete your preferences so maya recreates fresh ones at startup

No that's problem. Maya Loads and just before showing the panels the script editor starts up with the error message

And I also deleted the prefs but that didn't help me solving my problem too

I had the exact same problem a couple of days ago. I had never had it before, but that day, I was running some other program in the background and had that error - only the script editor saying // Error: // without any explanation at all. I found out that by closing that program (a program written in Java by the way) fixed the problem immediately and I was able to start Maya normally. You should try to close any unnecessary programs or processes that may be running together with maya as there could be some interference between them - it could help. Let us know if that fixes it.

I couldn't find the problem so I had to reinstall the computer and now everthing works.
