View Full Version : dense areas receive more light?!

I have noticed that the dense areas in max receive more light, or color then the less dense areas.
is there away to make all the areas even? or do i have to add more polys in the less dense areas?

ok
i made some tests and found out that it's the reflection map that makes it brighter on the denser area.
you can see what i mean here (http://www31.brinkster.com/snotnose/lighttest.jpg)

the middle of the cylinder is more dense then the other parts and there for more "reflective"
is there away to avoid it (excpet getting rid of the reflection map)?
