This image is entitled "Celestial Gateway".
I did this piece for a client as concept art for a magical gateway up in the sky. The arch would be on a platform held by an enormous golden statue of an angel which would rise well above the clouds.
The client said he wanted something like the old statues of europe...so I tried not to make it completely gold but sort of dark copperish and golden, with a blue fill cast to give a more ambigous look to the metal.
I would appreciate any comments. Thanks.
