View Full Version : Blender CVS update - good things in the works!
tx_rx 11-08-2006, 09:57 AM No doubt blenderheads will know this but I thought I'd post it here to let peeps know who haven't been to blendernation for a while.
Some nice additions in the pipeline including the Google Summer of Code sculptmode/multires/retopo tools.

I down loaded it last night and I would have to say the most exciting thing for me is the improved normal mapping support.
I tried it this morning and I am very impressed, this feature is well over due in blender and should defiantly up the quality of most artist work... has anyone noticed how fast the texture painting is in this build, its a hell of allot faster than it used to be.

I just couldnt risist trying it on one of my old meshes :scream:
I'm still a bit adamant about using multires though, it seems a bit of a memory guzzler.
