illu del'syn 02-08-2003, 01:55 PM Ok
I am totally noob at 3dmax.
But i really love it and I bought a gf4 ti 2000 to make a dualhead system.
I have 2 great monitors (17")
and I am using the both at 1280x1024
Now
I want to set the work area of 3dmax to get the better way to work. If you know what I mean (cause my english really sux).
I would be very thankful if you show me a screenshot of your work area with dualhead.
Or send me by e-mail.

err you usually keep the viewports in one screen. Maybe you could use 2nd monitor for dopehseet editor or track view etc...

Actually, for a noob, you could keep a tutorial open on one side... that'll do you more good then any other config. At least thats my opinion...

There are 2 ways. One would be "nview" mode - like one large screen across two monitors - here (http://home.earthlink.net/~dvornik/cgt/max_dual.jpg). You could limit max to a single monitor in this case too, but then it makes more sense to use the other approach.
The other way is "dualview" - like two separate desktops - here (http://home.earthlink.net/~dvornik/cgt/tech/max_dualview.jpg) .
To learn how to set them up (I recommend using the latest drivers for it) check this manual (http://download.nvidia.com/windows/40.72/nView_20_Users_Guide.pdf) .
