View Full Version : texture file renaming
YellYellYell 02-08-2003, 10:41 AM Hi,
how can I rename a texture file sequence like this ?
test_001.gif to: test_gif.001,
test_002.gif to: test_gif.002
etc.
I need it for an animated texture with expressions.
any ideas ?

You could use the Batch rename features
of ACDsee itīs really usefull.
Browse you sequence of images, then
select the images you want to rename,
and click secon mouse once.
Then select Batch Rename, just seee and
done :)
You could also use the freeware
Rename-it which I think you can find at
Highend3d (http://www.highend3d.com/tools/?section=NT)
Hope it helps.

Ok, it works great with the "rname-it" tool.
everything is perfect and the extensions are on the right place now. In front of the number.
thanx
