View Full Version : Problem with Normal Map

Hey people,

I've been trying to apply a normal map to a character in Maya and this is the result.

I used zmapper to generate the normal map and then I took it into maya and plugged it into a shading network like this:

FILE-out alpha --> BUMP-outNomral --> Lambert

Anyone know how i can fix this?

Did a software render, Looks a little better but still ugly

Fixed it, forgot to restore Morph Target in ZB.
May you all learn from my wrongdoings.

A normal map won't render properly in maya, it's only visible when High Quality rendering is turned on in the scene view. If you want to render your normal map Js normal mapper works well.http://www.pixero.com/downloads_maya.html
