first time post. really admire the quality of work posted here. How could I improve the water and the scene overall?? Modeled in Rhino and rendered in Max.

the area under and to the right of the door crease seem too smooth. needs some more detail in there or soemthign

Great model yfx! I wouldn't worry about the water soo much after all it is in the background. I would recommend some DOF to blur the background in the distance that would fix your water problem. To improve the scene, I would say a more dynamic camera angle or something, go for something more dramatic. Great job soo far, can't wait to see more.

here's the shot of the back...

i have no idea how to do DOF's yet...so I guess it's one of the things i need on my to-learn list.

how do I paint decals in max w/o applying a texture over the whole car??

Look up Multi-subobject material, and masks.:)

Also, supersampling will help with the aliasing on your reflections, get rid of the jaggies.
