..........................................................................................................................

Finally after many weeks of hard work here it is :wavey: www.mymentalray.com (http://www.mymentalray.com/)

..........................................................................................................................

First of all I would like to thank Helder Real aka Pixeldisfunction for all his hard work, with out him I wouldn't have never being able to finish this project. Thank you Helder for your amazing skills and dedication.

I would also like to thank everybody for there support and help but I will definitely need to thank: Francesca, Florian Wild aka Floze, jared Martin aka Jozvex, Brendan McCaffrey, Pavel Ledin aka Puppet, Miguel A Santiago and Nate Zim aka Invader_Zim, without these amazing people mymentalray would not having possible.

With that out of the way please enjoy your mental ray website.

Don’t forget this is only the start so if you have any ideas please let us know, and we will try to please the community as much as we can after all is your site.
We have a forum, tutorials, mental ray gallery and more… enjoy :)

Hey! It's a very impressive site, very enjoyabe, loved Francesca's corner. Congatulations on the site opening, I think this will become very popular.

Because you asked, maybe an idea for future would be to make links from the individual tutorials to a prepared forum topic for further discussion/questions.

This looks fantastic. It looks like there are already a lot of great resources there. With my first quick look it seems like the shader downloads are Maya oriented. Hopefully more XSI versions will show up.
Thanks for your work and contribution!

Hello everyone.:wavey:
Thank you for your comments.

I will defenetly like to make clear this is not just a Maya mental Ray website is just a Mental Ray site.
Unfortuanly as we were looking for info and tutorials we couldn't find too much for XSI

But as i say before this is your website so if you have info, tutorials or anything that can help the XSI community lets know and will make sure to update the site. We created a space in the forum for XSI as well.

Once again thank you :)

Hi, congrats on the web site.

The first thing that came to mind about the forum is that even if it's a mental ray specific site it doesn't have a 'general discussion' type of forum where mental ray issues could be discussed with no division into MR for maya, MR for XSI etc. Really there is already a lot of discussion regarding the different implementations in the forums here at cgtalk in the respective maya, xsi, max categories.

I would like this new site to focus more on general techniques, workflows etc. in mental ray that apply 95% in the same way across all apps. I don't see it gathering much interest in this way, as there are already many places for users of max, xsi, maya to discuss their implementation separately.

So in a way more focus on mental ray itself, where users of all apps could join the discussion would be preferable. (would want cgtalk to add a mental ray category in here)

Thanx a lot for this new website! It looks really great!

By the way I would also love to see some more stuf about XSI , especially on the shader section.Unfortunatelly the resources are indeed limited as far as XSI is concearned but like you said its up to us , the users to change this.

Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your support.

You guys are right about the lack of information about mental ray for XSI, Unfortuanlly as As a mention before "Unfortuanly as we were looking for info and tutorials we couldn't find too much for XSI"

So If you guys know about any Mental Ray XSI information/tutorials, Please let us know and we will more that happy to update the Database with the information you guy provide. Or even better if you guy have XSI MR tutorials and would like to make them available to everybody let us know and we can publish them at the website.

Cheers :)

a good deal of francesca's shaders, videos, and tutorials use XSI...

her new ctrl_approx videos show the use of the shader within XSI. so as long as the site has a francesca section there should be some XSI related content...
