I just saw that you could "skin" the user interface (after a year of practice... ).
Do you know if you can download new user interfaces ?
Any website ?

Wow, still no hits.. I guess the answer is no, people are not really sharing their GUI setups.

Customizing max does not really take more than a half hour and more than 'skinning' a new look you are really configuring many preferences and personal color choices.

My sugg (if worth anything at this point) would be to load all the stock GUI's untill you find one that like enough to customize further. I reduced the clutter to one vertical button bar on my setup & have always enabled and used strokes.

heh, I had never even heard of 'strokes' till now but they look interesting... I think I'll start using those

Shortcuts to commands drawn with your mouse, like you draw letters on some palms pilots... or spells in Black and White.
