Looks very much like a sixties Roswell design alien - even without the mouth he looks creepy :)
Keep it up!

This is the body - I know it is not very good, but I'm still working on it. Any tips on how to improve will be greatly appreciated.

Hi again Arrow
I think if you're going for a humanoid body, you're probably going to need to work a bit on the upper portion of the chest. Following human anatomy, you should have the collarbones visible above the pectoral muscles rather than rounding out the pectorals at the top in the same way as they are at the bottom.
The abdominal muscles shouldn't necessarily make up the entire front of the body either - you should have a set of muscles to the sides of these - but then its alien anatomy, so these are just suggestions. Maybe signs of a ribcage too?

Thanx for the advice. I changed the abdominal muscles a bit and added the neck and head. Im still working on some of the side muscles and the ribcage. Im also thinking about raising the shoulders a bit and adding some spikes on the shoulders and at the back, along the spine!

Hi Arrow
Looking at him so far- he does have a kind of fierce appearance - I don't know if that was what you were looking to do, but he does sort of remind me in some ways of the Goons from the old Popeye cartoons.
Alien physiology again is really up to you - just as long as it looks like it works as a body and its designed well according to whatever environment is native to him. I like what you've done with the eyes.
If you're looking at human physiology in comparison, I would say that the pectorals and abdominals should be a bit closer together.
The spikes idea sounds great and the model looks a lot better now the head is connected to the body.
Keep it up

I think the problem is too many Works In Progress to the amount of people who have anything to say...its sad, but some works go past with no commentary made at all on them which can be a bit of a dent to people's confidence. Would be nice to have another's point of view though - I can't be the be-all and end-all of all knowledge alien.
Keep going with it though - do it for the love of modelling :)

not really much to crit on yet, plus cant see to much detail with that shader. plus looks very basic to me. add more details, and it will turn out good:beer:

Looking good man, i agree with Thelios when he says you can't see much with the shader on.. i just thought about this and i think it would look really cool if he had tiny legs like a Disney character... like skinny but like, i don't know launchpad? anywho.. just an idea, and you should probably rough out the entire body before you add alot of detail of any sort, it just helps get the proportions out before you decide how much detail would look good on the character. Have Fun!:bounce:

Here's another update....
I think I will finish the model first and then add more detail if necessary (that way it will be easier to see which areas need attention). I Don't know whether to make the arms muscular or not. I like them as they are, but maybe it will look better with some muscles?
This might be my last update for a while, since I'm selleng my PC and it will be a while before I buy a new one...

The added spikes give it character and I like the clawed hands although it might be a lil impractical when he's trying to hold things. The neck and shoulders could do with a bit more work. It just seems to become a bit of a mass up there with no real definition. I think with the arms its going to be a case of playing around with them to see what looks best for you.
