Hi everyone,
my first post here on what looks to be a most impressive forum.

I'm working on modells for my showreel and could really use some feedback as modelling is'nt really my forte.

Please be cruel and give it to me straight, I want to get these as good as I can as quickly as I can.

Thanks in advance :)

Repost your images, but lit a lot brighter. We can't give you feedback if we can't see the images. :p Just assign a neutral gray material to the image. Wireframes are always good too. Post a front, side, and 3/4 view pic in order to get the best feedback.

the modelling of the female seems to be rather
detailed, but this crapy disco lights donīt do nothing good to her.

one spot with soft shadows,
one distant light from the other side
would help her a lot

besides I like the way you managed the hair a lot

Alright, this model could do for a some imrpovments in many areas.

Starting with the shoulders, or lack thereof. They run right into the arm and make the entire upper torso of the model very strange.

Next is the neck. The muscles that you modelled there seem to be completely upside down.

The breast's appear to be too large for the models, and furthermore appear to extend to much upwards in the front view.

The stomach muscles also appear to be strange. I'm not quite sure how to explain it. Also appears as if the arms and legs of the model are far, far too thin, as well as the shape of the upper torso. It gives her a "waif" look.

Here's a pic of what I mean, perhaps this will help. It's hardly perfect, but it's meant to give you an idea of what needs to be done

I know there are still a lot of imperfections here and hopefully
the pictures should show them off a lot better than before,
(sorry about those)
Hopefully i'm heading in the right direction,

I think if you turned the palms outward, it would give the arms a more natural look.

Cheers Grosserfrosch,
I'll give that a try.

Also I could do with any feedback you all could give on my
drummer guy.

Nothing to say on the drummer, but the female model still needs some work. She looks very, very skinny, as if she'd been starving for weeks. This is caused by your defining the bones of her rib cage, so if you don't do that so much, then it will look better.

You've improved the shoulders much, but they still aren't quite "there". I can't see the problem really well because of the views, but it might be fixed if you make them longer.

The arms are another thing, they still look too thin, and aren't properly formed. There should be a few reference image websites on the internet for you to get some help with this, and I do know of a pic that has a perfect formed female arm. I'll post a link to it later.

As for the lower part, it might be best served if you rounded out and brought her behind some, because it contributes to that barely fed look.

The legs still don't look right either, but that's probably because of the shape of the behind. If you fix that, then it will be easier to crit.

Thanks Temporal

I agree, in trying to create a sculpted look I just keep making
her look emaciated. My currnent reference material is'nt great
and i've been looking for more so if you can point some out that
would be most helpfull.

Thanks agian

Temporal,
a big thanks, those pics are great,
just what I needed.

I'll take all this info and hopefully get back tomorrow
with updates.

Without this help I'd have a real struggle on my hands so
thanks again:)
