HI again, I had to start again with this, but I've finished the arms and hands, and need to concentrate on his legs.

Comments and especially crits are greatly recieved.
Modeled and rendered in Blender Publisher.

Thanks

Sonix.

Check my post further down for the updated image.

Surely there must be something wrong with my model?

 / :thumbsdow

Nobody think so?

The model is pretty good because of the good level of detail, and the prportions seem to be dead on. The details though don't appear to be consistent. Obviously the guy is muscled, so take for example the chest. With all the work you put into detailing the arm muscles, you might have added the crease between the pectorals.

The same thing goes for the legs muscles, they too are lacking in detail where the arms are not.

Other than those things though, I can't really see anything wrong the model itself.

Good joib :D

BTW: Did you accidentally make the pic that wide, or is he justa big dude?

I'm really impressed with the anatomy and the precision, i couldn't manage that. But yeah, some minor things here and there, with all the effort you have put in, they deserve some tlc as well. The crotch area looks a little tense and the pectoral area is very smooth, and then the rest looks just fine to me. I'm not good with human bodies though, I'm really terrible. Keep updating anyways :D

edit: I left this reply before I'd read what you left me, but thanks, I'll check back here tomorrow too :)

Temporal, Aeretsis and Thelios, thankyou for the feedback.

I've sorted the groin area, but now he's wearing pants....I did honest.

I've hopefully corrected the pectorals, but I could do with some more feedback about these please.

Started improving the legs detail, but still need to do more work on these and the knee caps.

Thanks again.

Hi, Sonix.
A little to much squared, but very good IMHO.

Thanks for your advice people, hopefully I've followed it correctly.

Spent the weekend remodeling the legs from scratch, but I'm still not 100% happy with them, what do you think?

Tweaked his 'square' chest, should be rounder now.

Thanks

Sonix.

While they look pretty good from the 3/4 perspective, viewing them from the front, the pectorals still look to square.

Also, I can see that while you've improved the shape of the legs some, they still don't look right. Firstly because they're both out of proportion with th rest of the body, you need to make them longer. Second the lower leg is much too thin compared to the thighs.

Here's a reference image archive which might help you with your proportions.

Temporal, thanks for the link. I've put the legs on hold for a while as I spent all weekend working on them.

So today carried on with the head. There are no ears yet but any comments would be greatly recieved.

Thanks

Created arm cannons, boots and costume.

Rigging and cannon arms to come next.

Sonix.

I have corrected the armour, so he doesn't look mquite so thick, thanks for the comment.

He looks pretty good. My main cretique is that he seems way to thick. No matter how muscular you only get so thick/deep. Otherwise I think the he looks pretty good.

And a close up of the arm cannons.

looking cool :D Perhaps the cannons could use some texturing. If you'd never textured before, then i don't encourage ever trying, it's depressingly hard. harder then modeling. I like the model though, I can totally see some animation potential. Have you worked on it much recently? I'd be interested in seeing some updates, especially on the canons for some reason. I want to see people make textured and stuff. i'm not sure if it's so they can fail like i did and i can feel better about myself or if it's cause I want to learn from them :D

More progress.

After some nightmare rigging problems, I'm able to post an update.

very cool. gj! His body type reminds me much of Bitterman from q2. I like it. What exactly is coming out of his rocket boosters, it looks like icy stuff.

Tylak, I don't know what the pulse beams are yet. I would like to make some nice energy type beams, but my particle techniques aren't good enough yet.
They will hopefully look warmer than ice type beams.

Thanks for the words.

I'm back again. I wanted to do a scene for this character, something to do with his bodybuilding.

So this is the Gym, it's a four frame GIF, so please be patient whilst it loads.

20K limit forced me elsewhere (http://www.3dcommune.com/3d/galview.mv?Other_Apps+9MHUOxdas+1046129419)

The animation will be improved I just wanted to see a test with some movement.

What do you think?

Comments are welcome.
