hi Silvia / SiLaNcIA

The best way to do this is, is to have a host for your images, upload your images to that host by ftp, and when you wnat to add an image in a post here at cgtalk then just click the "insert image" button on the interface (it's the yellow icon with the mountain) and add the url (web adress) of your image

your image should show then. you can always check before posting by clicking the "preview post" button next to the submit button

Where I live, we get 50MB of free webspace where we can put whatever we like... no ads, no restrictions os it might be worth checking your Internet provider's website to see if maybe they offer this or not...

Hope it helps and welcome to this oase of inspiration :)

SiLaNcIA,

Welcome. :) I cannot see your images - I recommend checking out this useful thread:

New to CGTalk? Learn how to post IMAGES here! (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=267088)
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=267088

The thread uses Photobucket as an example, but that image host no longer allows nudity, so I recommend going with:

http://www.waffleimages.com/
http://www.paintedover.com/

Looking forward to seeing your images. :)

Cheers,

-Rebeccak

SiLaNcIA,

No worries, this is par for the course. ;) I like Photobucket the best, so long as you don't have nude imagery, it should work fine - if you have a nude image you would like to host with Photobucket, then simply cover the 'offensive' area (such as here (http://features.cgsociety.org/stories/2006_01/rebecca_kimmel/pic_3.jpg)) and go ahead and host it on Photobucket. I think this will likely work best. I hadn't realized that waffleimages only allowed you to view a thumbnail of the image.

www.Photobucket.com (http://www.Photobucket.com)

Also, go into your User CP > Edit Options > and make sure that "Show Images" is checked. Your User CP can be found when you're logged in at the top of the page.

Cheers,

-Rebeccak

Your last figure study in particular is lovely. With respect to the head Master Copies, I think you have a good start. I would recommend taking a look at this thread:

TUTORIAL - General Principles of Anatomical and Figurative Art / Cross Hatching (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=374939)
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=374939

which shows how to break down the human head more in terms of planes, which I think is an approach that would be useful to you. :)

hi rebecca thanx for the volume head i tried to think in geometric form and prospective, but i've to say this, my creativity fight with forms studing. however it's right what i want to do: harmony between what i feel and what i see. so i show the sketch i've done from the tutorial head, and the masterpiece head #19 i posted made with volumes:

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r194/silancia/testa_volumi.jpg

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r194/silancia/testa19.jpg

and true it is what i need for my drawing and now i'm going try to study volumes on images like legs on a bus, or architectural photos, and maybe i could get out creativity. thanx a lot for everything...

i would ask to you, if i draw from I5 Minute Sketchathon - Thread 2: Sketches (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=295498) or ASSIGNMENT 3: MASTER COPY MINI 2-5-10 SKETCHATHON, have i to post my sketches here in my sketchbook or there is a post for these?
cheers

Hi...Silvia...:)

POWERFUL DRAWINGS...
Not sure about the outline on the last smaller figures posted...doesn't seem to work there.
I think that for your smaller figures, you need to really go into them with shadows, to decribe
the volumes ect.
Just a thought and suggestion..:)
A real pleasure seeing your work, and am looking forward to seeing a lot more from you..

HEY.....Silvia...

I like those last drawings... .....not to sure about the grid though....:scream:
You know, if you are having a little problem with shadows on those smaller ink line drawings,....you can always just wet your thumb, and rub it into the shadow area while the ink outline is fresh....will give the drawings AIR / ATMOSPHERE, PLUS SHADOW...:)
Let it dry, and you can then go into the shadow with fresh line if needed.
I have gotten some nice results doing that...gives the drawings a crisp in some areas, and soft
in some areas effect...simaler to the way water colors are used sometimes,....except you are just using your wet thumb, and a ball point pen...:) ...just a suggestion and thought that might be of help to you.......If you try that,... let the shadow be on the outside of the figure here and there also...will give the illussion of the figure being in deep space, with air around it, in an enviroment with atmosphere kind of feeling ...:)
Looking forward to seeing more of your work..

glenn!!! yeah homework paper when it's too bored to write it!

so thanx for the trick and lisen this: you can use pen ink or felt-tip pen to mark lines and shadows but then you can wizard dark sides with a brush dipped into nail varnish remover... and so you have to do that to see the result i cant explain!!! alas i have just tese old draws to let you see i hope it's ok...
http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r194/silancia/draw_0209ok.jpg

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r194/silancia/draw001.jpg

it's difficult to control because the ink expands into paper but its rather crazy :)

so i'm going to put some old works
