View Full Version : Negative weights with skinmodifier?

Hello!

Does anyone know if the skin modifier in max5 supports negative weights?
I am working on a character setup and i need some vertices to move in the opposite direction than the others (i did that in lightwave several times, but it doesn't seem to work in 3dmax).
I haven't found anything in the manual and online help, maybe it's possible via maxscript?

by the way, is the skin modifier really such a pain to handle, or am i just too stupid :eek: ? there are no selection sets, or tools to hide geometry or mirroring vertex settings!! i'm not far away from blowing the whole thing up and use linkedXForm for the setup...
(sorry, but i'm a bit frustrated right now :insane: )
