CGTalk - Animated textures

Hey guys,

Im tryign to fake a character with water streaming off him, I was thinking an animated texture of water running down with an alpha might do the trick!

So i was wondering if anyone could point me in the way of an animated texture tutorial or any other useful links

(im using maya 7)
