View Full Version : Concept Artist/Beginning 3D artist. Hungry-but green...
boykin 02-07-2003, 02:35 AM Hey, the name is Chris Boykin (Boykin) and I have always wanted an opportunity to work with other talented artists, designers, programmers, and musicians to develop industry-buzzing titles. While I am currently working my 3D skills with Maya 4.5, and I have a sizeable collection 2D character concept work. I am more than ready to learn, and share my gaming experiences and artistic talents-wherever they should be had.
I am hungry, and I won't stop even after I am given my first opportunity.
click on the link in my signature to visit my site...I plan on updating as more material is completed. The design and code is all my own, and I hope you enjoy your visit!!

That's not the right attitude to have when looking for your first job. Everyone thinks that in their mind resides the key to the next big game/movie/tv series/whatever and that the current standard is crap. Well keep in mind that the people working in the industry now and who have for many more years than you are those responsible for what you consider crap, and also those responsible for hiring you. Also with an attitude like that you are setting yourself up for a lot of frustration once you are hired, when you realize that you were not hired for your opinions and they carry no weight.
Number one fact you must come to terms with in order to succeed as a professional artist: You were not hired to make your artwork, you were hired to make your employers artwork.
Good luck.
