i am still quite new to ae.

i render out a clip, using particular. how could i have the object in the clip assigned with opacity mask?

thx. hm, i think the object is not supposed to be black or white.

I think that what you are asking is if you can have an object from a footage file become the obscuration layer?

If that is true then you will either have to re-render the clip with that objects alpha channel alone (if it is from a 3D or other compositing program). Then create a comp with that objects footage and then place on your timeline right on top of your existing footage. Then in particular select that comp as your obscuration layer - this is located under "visibility"

If your footage is of live action or doesn't come with an alpha channel or green screen then you will have to rotoscope the object.
