I modelled a platypus in C4d (and i am real produ of the model, nearly no traingles and the eyes are very good [in my opinion ;) ]).
Now i started with rigging the comic character with this tutorial:
http://www.der-webdesigner.net/index.php?action=tutorials&s=c4d_animation&t=rigging_mocca2_2
Quite good, but i got a few questions. In the attachements i have zipped the complete scene, thats the easiest way to find a problem.
It is possible to move the knee bones in a new position? the leg isn't stretched but when i stretch it, the whole leg bends backwards. I just want to stretch the bones when Byran (thats the name of the platypus) stands still so it cant bend backward.
When moving the controller backwards the toes are snapping off. Looks weird. Why that?
When i switch the HyperNurbs on the performance of the scene goes on vacation and only leaves sometimes a short notice. Is that normal because the bones affects the high polycount model?
What about the number of the polys in the base model? High enough? Does the leg need some more edges?
Any further hint would be great but i think the bone setup isnt that bad.
Thanks for reading and helping!
EDIT:
Maybe some of the probles are caused because the legs are just to thick and to short? Could be creating problems when moving (overlapping polys and things like that) or just looking bad.
