View Full Version : Grid options for version IX

Hello all, I'm brand new here and this is my first post.

I'm wondering in Painter ver IX if there is a way to set a default set of values for the grid option. Not the prespective grid, just the regular old grid.
I'm familiar with changing the settings under the canvas menu...ie/ canvas/grid/grid options, but I cant seem to figure out how to make the new settings as deafault. Is this even possible?

I'm a long time painter user, but have never really used the grid before and have now found use for it.

I've done some snooping around on the same issue a few months ago and couldn't find the answer. Usually if the info is stored in a external file, it would get modified, but no files get modified when you chage the grid option. This leads me to believe that the settings are stored in virtual memory only and get reset once you exit Painter.

Hopefully in the next version :)

No, Painter IX does not save your grid settings. I believe The Corel Painter team is aware of this issue, as it's been requested several times.
