View Full Version : partical generation with animating materials question
philwill 10-31-2006, 03:34 PM Hi, I'm trying to create a face-me particle system that launches an animating texture on each new particle rather than having all the particles play the animating texture in sync... which is how particle age currently works.
i was hoping partical flow would have something like this but I can't seem to find anything.
any ideas??
thanks
Phil

Ey dude.
Just tick the "sync Frames to Particle Age" in the bitmap time properties.
And use a dynamic material and you should get this...

If that's what you want ofcoarse...

also combine the particle age sync thing with also using a multi sub object material where you can have differing scales, timings, colours, etc and pflow has an option to randomly assign the sub object materials to particles.
