i made the stupid mistake of animating my character before i had attached the head on, is there anyway to keep the skin modifier wheni attach the head?

modded
i linked the head to the body then to the pelvis and it rotates perfectly, can i get some pointers as to how to add a rig that will alow to me to bend the neck?

on the neck bone, you can add a orientation constraint between the head control and the spine nub bone.
