Hello,

I have a question about Images Sequence :

I have a Targa Sequence whith in it differents resolution, for example:
From images 01 to 20 resolution is 320x240
From Images 21 to 41 resolution is 1200x800
From Images 42 to 62 resolution is 400x350
...

The problem is that After Effects read only information of the first image of your sequence.
So in my example the resolution of my sequence is 320x240 and the rest of the sequence with higher resolution is cropped.

My Question is simple : I would to know if After Effects is able to detect multiple resolution in a sequence image and adapt the resolution of the comp.

Thanks.

I don't know the answer to that question but couldn't you just create 3 folders with each individual rez and read each sequence as separate groups?

Comps can only be one resolution. I think what you want is to create 3 separate comps with different resolutions or use the transform tool to size down the other image sequences to the size your comp is at. As far as the output is concerned you can output different sizes in various different ways but the resulting quality of your export will depend on the resolution of your comp

i.e. if you output a 640x480 movie from a comp that is only 320x240, a blurry image with pixel doubling will result.

If you need all of the images to be the same size - you could run a batch action in photoshop so that you don't need AfterEffects to do the image interpolation for you resulting in a faster render time.
