View Full Version : making models
Kralle 02-07-2003, 12:40 AM Hey,
i have a question about Wings3D,
when you make a full human body, do you make each of the seperate parts and then import them?
Or how do you do it?
Because it seems difficult to make a full body out of 1 shape.

not sure about wings but usually what i do in maya if im makign a body is do it in separate parts and only half the body usually because u can just mirror the other half (symetrical) im sure wings has this. also you might get more help if you had posted this to the wings3d forum...good luck kralle :scream:

you can do it eitherway I usually make 1 solid body except the head. but sometimes make an arm seperate. the joan of arc tutorial at 3dtotal is one of the best ones for making a full body. sounds like you need more memmory cause the virtual mirror is cool.

well, I had this problem too, and my mistake was that I selected ALL the faces and then wings tryes to mirror all those faces.
select a SINGLE face, and then click mirror... maybe. Otherwise I don't know.

try scaling the head
even if its attached you can scale it down and then fine tune verts and edges that didnt scale to where they need to be
